Shipping policy

SHIPTO delivers electronics, appliances, and consumer goods across Uganda. We also offer prepaid pickup from our Kampala location. Please read this policy carefully to understand how orders are processed, paid for, and delivered.

1. Pickup (Prepaid Only)

Pickup is available for prepaid orders only.

Yamaha Center Building, Burton Street, near Old Taxi Park, Kampala.

How Pickup Works

  • Order is placed and paid for online

  • Item is tested and prepared

  • Pickup notification is sent

  • Customer collects the item using the order reference

Pickup is for collection, not inspection or decision-making.

2. Local Delivery – Kampala & Surrounding Areas (Approx. 60km Radius)

SHIPTO offers local delivery within Kampala and nearby areas.

Delivery Speed

  • Same-day or next-day delivery, depending on location and order time

Payment Method

  • Cash on Delivery (COD) is available depending on location

  • Payment is made in cash at delivery

Once an order is placed, it moves into preparation and dispatch scheduling.

3. Upcountry Delivery (Prepaid Only)

We deliver to upcountry locations across Eastern, Northern, and Western Uganda.

Payment Method

  • Upcountry deliveries are prepaid

  • Payment is completed at checkout via Mobile Money, Debit Card, or Credit Card

  • Cash on Delivery is not available for upcountry orders

How Upcountry Delivery Works

  • Order is placed and paid for online

  • Item is tested before dispatch

  • Order is handed to our upcountry logistics partner

  • Tracking details are provided

  • Item is delivered to the selected district or collection point

Orders ship next day after payment unless otherwise stated.

5. Imported Items (Shipped from Abroad)

Some items are sourced from international suppliers.

Key Points

  • Imported items are prepaid

  • Processing begins after payment

  • Lead times vary depending on item and shipping method

  • Tracking details are provided once dispatched

Once processing begins, imported orders cannot be reversed.

6. Order Processing

  • Orders are processed after payment confirmation

  • Processing time: 1–3 business days

  • Orders are not processed on weekends or public holidays

7. Warranty on Locally Stocked Electronics

All locally stocked electronics come with a minimum 1-year warranty covering:

  • Manufacturer defects

  • Faults discovered during initial testing

  • Issues missed before dispatch

All warranty claims are handled in Kampala.

8. Payments

Accepted payment methods:

  • Mobile Money

  • Debit Card

  • Credit Card

Cash on Delivery:

  • Available only for eligible Kampala-area deliveries

  • Payment is made in cash at delivery

9. Returns & Refunds

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the error is ours.
